Beware the Long Lost Friend

The next time that an old high school friend calls to catch up, never ask them what they are doing for work. He or she just may answer, "I'm glad you asked..."

In the Deseret News this time:

Following an LDS mission, he returned to Utah and became a police officer in Tooele County. "I tell people that's where God practiced making people before he got really good at it," he said. Next he moved to Utah County, where he was an officer for about ten years.

His sense of humor kept getting him in trouble, according to Kirby. At a roadblock, searching for drunk drivers, he would be asked by people what the problem was.

Bless our Beloved Football Team

I attended a work meeting this evening with some training from the football coach from Brigham Young University. We opened the meeting with a prayer wherein the following words were uttered:

...please bless our Mountain West Conference champions with continued success.
